How is the South really represented in the media?
On September 26th, join us online for a conversation with Marea Media and Sara Manisera about how media and digital platforms shape the way we see and tell the stories of Southern Italy.
From tourist hotspots to overlooked rural areas, we’ll explore what gets shown, what gets left out, and how these narratives influence the way places like Perdifumo are perceived.

We are located in the Italian village of Perdifumo, Cilento in Southern Italy. Just a 20-minute drive from Agropoli and 1 hour from Salerno.
Perdifumo is a small village with cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and panoramic views.
Why Perdifumo?
We searched for a long time to find the right place, and when we came to Perdifumo, we had a feeling it was where we were meant to be. 
The people here welcomed us, helped us settle in, and made us part of the local community. It’s become our home, and we couldn’t be happier.
